We wish to advise you of the timeline for applying the new pay adjustments in line with Circular 11/2023 as follows:
- For weekly paid staff, on pay period 202340 pay date of 5/6 October 2023
- For staff paid on alternate fortnights, on pay period 202340 pay date 5 October 2023
- For fortnightly paid staff, on pay period 202341 pay date 12 October 2023
Please note if you are on a personal point of pay (off-scale point), the revised rate will need to be calculated and applied separately to payroll. These individual cases will be worked on over the coming period and applied on subsequent pay days, with of course all arrears applied from 1 October 2023.
The circular also provides for a 1.5% increase in the rate of allowances in the nature of pay.
With the exception of a limited number of allowances, the increase will also be applied to allowances on payroll on the above pay dates and arrears paid from 1 October 2023.
The increase to the remaining allowances (for example, Higher Duty allowance) will be applied as soon as possible and arrears paid from 1 October 2023.
