To ensure that payment of pensions and retirement lump sums are not delayed due to accelerated pay deadlines over the Christmas and New Year period, NSSO HR Services need advance notice from officers seeking to retire in the month of December 2022 or during the first two weeks in January 2023.
If you intend to retire during the period outlined above, you should:
- resign your position as normal (by giving formal written notice of your intention to retire to your local HR unit via your head of division)
- submit a completed Exit Form to NSSO HR Services by creating an Exit Management case through the online Case Management System (CMS)
- complete all required Retirement Forms and attach them to your Exit Management case
To ensure your pension is processed in time to meet the Christmas and New Year pay deadlines, your Exit Management case must be submitted, with all completed Exit and Retirement Forms attached, no later than Monday, 14 November 2022.
